Balancing the Doshas
One of the Key Aspects of Ayurveda Therapy is identifying your Unique Constitution, or Prakriti, which is Determined by the Predominance of one or more Doshas in your body. Once your Prakriti is Determined, Ayurvedic Practitioners can recommend Personalized Therapies to Restore Balance and Promote Health.
For example, Individuals with a Dominant Vata Dosha tend to have Light and Creative energy but can Experience Anxiety and Instability. To Balance Vata, Ayurvedic Practices such as Warm and Grounding Foods, Self-Care Rituals, and Gentle Exercise are Recommended.
Similarly, individuals with a Dominant Pitta Dosha tend to have a Fiery and Passionate energy but can Experience Anger and Irritability. To Balance Pitta, Cooling and Hydrating Foods, Relaxation Techniques, and Moderate Exercise are Beneficial.
Those with a Dominant Kapha Dosha tend to have a Grounded and Nurturing energy but can Experience Lethargy and Stagnation. To balance Kapha, Spicy and Stimulating Foods, Invigorating Exercise, and Regular Detoxification are Recommended.
