Dr. Raghavendra Y is an accomplished Ayurvedic physician and academician with over a decade of professional experience in clinical practice, teaching, and research. He has served as a Professor in the Department of Kayachikitsa at Dhanvantri Ayurveda Medical College, Siddapura (Uttara Kannada), where he has guided numerous postgraduate scholars and contributed to the advancement of Ayurvedic education and healthcare.
His MD dissertation at KLE Shri BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Belagavi, focused on “The Effect of Navakarshaka Kashaya Ghanasatwa in the Management of Ekakushta (Psoriasis),” which earned him the Best Dissertation Award (2014–2015) by KLE University. He was also honored with the Arogya Ratna Award (2018–2019) by Karnataka Darshana for excellence in Ayurveda practice.
Currently pursuing his Ph.D., Dr. Raghavendra is conducting a comparative clinical study on the efficacy of Dashamoola Rasayana in mild to moderate COPD. He has delivered numerous guest lectures across reputed Ayurvedic institutions on psoriasis management, stress management through Ayurveda and Yoga, and kidney health, and has chaired academic sessions including the RGUHS Silver Jubilee Seminar “Spandana – Ayurvedic Perspective in Cardiac Analysis” (2021).
